Cobalt door and rocker panel rust

My cobalt has been developing a good amount of rust on the back of the door and the rocker panel. Every winter it gets a little worse. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if so have you done anything about it? I'm also looking fir suggestions.

Best thing is to either buy a new part with no rust or sand out the rust and seal it.

I would post a picture but I can't. Say I sanded the rust wouldn't the entire car have to be repainted? Or just the door and rocker panel.

Have to be repainted? No, will it look funny if the rust is on the outside? Yes. If you dont care about looks you can just prime the area and be done, or you can repaint that portion if it is just the door. Part of my car got blended, not a great job either so make sure you trust who you go through.

Mine rockers are rusting but not the doors. Live in upstate NY and today Icelanders the underbody of the car and the frame is NOT rusted just the rockers. Yes I'll post pictures of my car.

Yep. It's a bugger to stop once it starts to spread.
