Time to Rant

Ok, so this may be a small rant, but i feel its well worth it. I just bought my 07 cobalt in feburary of this year, and I really do love the car, but I've had so many problems recently that this rant developed. I had the car to the dealer twice, for a long list of crap (axel seal, control arm bushings, swaybar bushings/links, bad heater motor and a bad seal in my headlight) Thats all fixed now and works fine, but last week my check engine light came on and said i had a bad coil on cylinder 2, that was replaced by mechanic. All while this was going on, the car sounded really weird. After all this crap, i was told to do a fuel system cleanse, so I did, gumout in the tank, and the seafoam oil treatment. I followed the directions religiously and just changed the oil and put a new filter. Seems harmless? Nope. The dealer said that they changed the oil before they sold the car, apparently not. The oil was as black as can be, and the filter was literally falling apart. I seriously doubt that the sea foam did this, so after changing the oil and stuff, the car sounds great, excited I went to treat my self to DQ (fantastic) and on the way there, the freaking check engine light came on. I just gave up, came home and here I am.

Pissed off. I am....

Sorry to hear you had all of this at one time. The fiat party is typical parts failure for these cars, but the check engine light isn't. Can you expand on symptoms and exactly you're trim and tranny package?

Sucks to hear the problems! Get a code reader and stop listening to the dealership! I feel like they give you bandages not actual fixes so you can keep coming back
