Possible Chain Tensioner?

recently Ive had many problems with this car, and now im adding even more to the list. I started my car after having my transmission and motor mounts changed (37,600 miles needless to say how pissed I am to change on that low mileage). But when I started it, it sounded like a diesel, literally. I shut it off and let it sit, then restarted it, it made the sound for about 30 seconds, then went away. My mechanic suggested the timing chain tensioner, but another mechanic said somthing about the oil filter(what?). I dont know. I do know I did find some very small shiney things in my last oil change (hoping it was left over from my atv). Any suggestions to whats up? Im off to change my oil soon and see if its anything to do with oil and try and debunk.

Get a magnetic oil plug. Won't cure anything but will help you see if you have any filings in your oil.
