Quick Question Intercooler Bypass

Hey all just blew my endcap apart on cold side of intercooler. Now i want to order a zzp one but I dont get paid two weeks from now then it will proly take 3 weeks to get it. I have the maf unplugged to run engine in limp mode no boost, would it be okay to make a bypass out of pvc pipe, without boost would intake temperatures be reasonable enough not to melt the pvc?

Thanks
