Thumbs down Security Prevents Car from Starting Problem..ignition

09 Colbalt lt. Key got stuck in the ignition switch with the car running last year, got a shop to replace the ignition cylinder (I hear its a common problem and even a recall) afterwards the yellow lock/security light was on the dash and stayed there for a year with no problems.

Well it was starting slowly, battery had like 10 volts.
I bought new battery, and a new starter(that works I saw it tested)

Still won't start. I'm guessing the security system locked me from starting.

I have tried the leave key in on position for 10mins and wait to the light goes off to relaern the key or whatever, but the light never goes off and doesn't work.

I'm trying to prevent from towing it anywhere and if I can just replace something myself I would like too. Maybe a new ignition thing where the key plugs in? It has been sticking every so often again.

Thanks for the help tried to make it short n sweet.
