Yeah, they might have accidentally bent the sheilds to close to rotors. It happens you know they use ball peen hammers to loosen stuff and you just need a mis-hit, hit the sheild a bit and there you go you cause a problem without knowing you even touched the sheild. Sheild should be about a 1/4" away from the rotor all the way around.
