Fuel line rusted?

I noticed today a really strong smell of gas. I started looking underneath the car tracing the fuel lines. And beside the front of the tank underneath some heat wrap there's a rusted hole in the fuel line somewhere. I can't pull the heat wrap off because of it being slick with fuel. does fuel line come pre bent to fit the car from front to back seeing as it's one piece. Or am I better off to take it to my buddy that works at a dealership
