Battery Dying

I have had a 2005 Cobalt for 3 years now without trouble. 2 months ago, wife rear ended someone and the hood is now messed up a little, still very drivable. Last week the battery died, so went and got a new one, put it in and all seemed OK. Well, it died again. The battery light did not come on, leading me to believe that the alternator is OK. Jumped it and it started and ran fine. Tried to start it later and no go. Any ideas?

Were interior lights and stuff coming on? You might have a loose ground

After it died, there was nothing on, lights, chimes, etc. I checked the dome light on it was in the normal position, as was everything else. TY for the reply.

Have you considered that maybe your new battery is bad? Have it checked out before warranty runs out.
