No Sunroof Power

Hello again everyone,
I can't seem to find anything on here about this yet. My sunroof motor died on me when the switch got stuck in the close position for a few days. So I pulled the motor, ordered a new one, had it arrive 2 months later (yeah...great service.....) and install the new motor. Wired the same, on the same switch (for now) and try it out and nothing. Tested the wires and there is no power what so ever on any of the 4 lines, just 3 neutral and a ground.

The fuse in the kick panel is fine and I don't see one related under the hood. Any ideas? or even a wiring diagram that I could use to rewire the whole thing?

wiring should be common for all i'd think

I'm thinking I'll just rewire the thing to where my window controls are on the door. then I can control everything from there. Hide a smaller switch on the front portion of the arm rest. I just want the damn thing to work first though, the replacement motor cost $300! What a rip off :(

Fuse should have blown before motor fried. Are you sure motor was dead?

Thanks a lot

The old motor would only spin one way so it would only open the sunroof, wouldn't close it.

Are you sure your RAP relay didn't fall out of place or go bad?

---------- Post added at 05:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:03 PM ----------

It's a DC motor. Spin direction depends on voltage polarity at it's pole. I would believe it was your sunroof switch.

hmmm

RAP is for sure ok as windows and radio still work with it.
The switch was working when I took out the original motor, just got stuck in the full open position. I can't find my old motor now since i no longer have a garage and everything is just tossed in bins, but its slowed down significantly since I bought the car anyways so replacing it wont hurt, just have to figure out the power issues I guess.
My window motors are getting the same way, takes 10-12 seconds to roll them up now. They'll be next to replace once another balt shows up at pick-a-part

Not caused by motors, you have to clean and relube the rails.

The new motor is dead. I found the power issue when i took the headliner right off (just a loose connection near the back, but the motor wont move....horray.

I'm bringing it back and I'll try fixing the old one when i find it. The rails are working fine, but I'll give them a clean and lube when i re install the old one. I managed to close the sunroof originally but reversing the polarity of the motor, so it seems like only one direction works on it, so it's possible somethings jammed up in it. Oh well, i'll figure it out eventually.

thanks for the help

Radio and power window don't work off RAP relay, they work off of a different delay circuit in BCM.
