2008 Cobalt LT Driveability Problems

I bought this car used in May of 2013 for my son. Recently it has started acting up while driving. The instrument panel loses power and the engine act as if it will shut down. He's been able to pull off the road safely each time, shut the car down, pull out the key and restart it. He gets a few more miles and the whole scenario repeats itself.

Is this part of the faulty ignition switch recall or is this some other problem?

If it is some other problem, what are the possible solutions to it?

Thanks,

Jason

Faulty ignition or ecu is going bad. My vote is on ecu

I would pull and re-install all fuses and check for loose connections. Maybe re-seat connectors on BCM with a bit of dialectric grease.
