Random startup question

So I was leaving ace hardware and when I tried to start the car it cranked and cranked until after a bit it started .. It always starts up the second I turn the key .. This happens randomly and I don't know if this an early warning sign of some kind of mechanical failure ? It doesn't act as if my battery is dead , but maybe like no fuel is in the engine ? .. Idk ?? What you guys think

When was the last time you changed your plugs or fuel filter?

Take you plugs out and check 'em. Fuel filter is usually done every 30k i believe. Unless it does it every time dont worry too much about it. Every once in awhile mine will start weird.

I'll have to check my plugs but now I'm convinced its the filter since I'm almost at 50k ... But that makes for a good little maintenance project ! Show my buds how to change a fuel filter.

Be careful while doing it. I think i heard the fuel pressure regulator is on the filter. And i just changed my L200 fuel filter last year. Had around 100k on it. I was still able to blow through it without much diffaculity.

Same problem, won't start every time

I have this problem, it started late last summer and I took it in to a Chevy dealer and they couldn't figure it out because it would start almost every time and then when it became fall and getting cooler outside it would start every single time. Now it's summer again and hot outside it is starting to do it again so I took it to the dealer again today and again they couldn't get it to act up and said they didn't know why it would do that. Does anyone else have or had this problem? I do know they replaced the fuel module and they said they checked the plugs and fuel filter.
