Traction Control and ABS Light on

So just went in and got my tranny serviced replaced 9.5 quarts of fluid but when I was driving home these two lights popped up. Any ideas why they would be on

So they spilled 2 and a half quarts and charged you for it? According to manual automatic transmission only holds 7 US quarts if you completely empty it and refill.

Wheel bearing speed sensor most probable cause.

Lol they said it holds up to 11.5 quarts I think their measurements are off. That's just weird if a sensor went out as soon as I leave the shop.

They didn't charge me for fuild tho

Is it normal to hear New tranny fluid moving as soon as you start up the car?

Hey Dustin,

I understand that the Traction Control and ABS light has come on in your vehicle. I cannot guarantee anything, but I will be glad to look further into this concern for you. Did these lights appear when you left from the dealership after having your transmission serviced? Feel free to send us a private message with your full contact information, VIN, current mileage, and dealership name if any extra assistance is needed. Thank you!

Found the problem my rear spring cut the electrical wires for the sensor since ppl dont understand my car is lowered and when they jack up the car my rear springs like to fall out of their upper mount. Going to connect them back together in the morning with electrical tape since I dont have a soldering gun right now.

Anyone know where I can get the wire harness for the speed sensor? Its a 2006 Chevy Cobalt LT

Just go on GM Parts Giant - Lowest Prices for Genuine OEM Parts and Accessories and enter your VIN with this part number and it will tell you.
