Unhappy Auto Door Locks

I read the other door lock posts and there wasn't enough resolution for me.
(2007 Chevy Cobalt LT - 200,000 km)
similar problem, door locks started going crazy by themselves 3 days ago; here's what I did:

pulled the psngr side kick-panel fuse - auto door locks # 26 I think,
fuse was fine but I could hear the\a switch clicking randomly,
pulled the drivers side armrest door - lock control panel off- it was dry, thought it may be shorting due to water from wipers splashing the switch,
called Lordco, they said call GM,
GM says 1-2 hours with a technician to figure out the problem (yeah right, 300 bucks +...NOT)

GM wouldn't just tell me the name of the part or part #, so I could just buy a new switch (go figure),

I had a brand new fob programmed 2 years ago - 145.00 for the service and 125.00 for the new fob...its not under warranty anymore.

to me its either the relay switch at the fuse panel or a short in one of the door control panels, so I need the part name and # or a slightly better route to resolution.

Thanks for your feedback, for the time being I just pulled the fuse and manually lock my doors and then engage my anti theft.

Darkannon.

Split the FOB open and take the battery out to make sure it's not your FOB acting up on you or leave far away enough that it doesn't transmit.

Thumbs up thank you's

Once again Coby7, I bow to your experience and wisdom.
the FoB is fine and the problem does seem to stem from the drivers side switch. The link to what I need was a very thoughtful inclusion.

Thanks again, this help was invaluable.
much respect;
Darkannon

Disconnect the switch if it stops you know it's the switch
