Strange Vibration, Almost Wheel Hop when in 1st Gear Engaging Clutch

Hi,

I have a really strange vibration problem since I bought the car. This only happens in from a complete stop when engaging clutch to accelerate in 1st gear. If rolling form 1st gear it doesn't happen either.

Sometimes the front end will start to vibrate up and down, and it will almost feel like wheel hop if I hit the gas hard enough. Doesn't seem to matter if the clutch is hot or cold. Usually I can slip the clutch past this vibration and then keep going smooth.

But I know this is not normal. Do you think this a problem in the clutch, driveline, or mounts?

Shifting to all other gears is nice and smooth.

Thanks for your advice!

Matt
