Clutch Return Spring

My clutch pedal return spring broke. I know I have to get a whole new pedal assembly. Will it put any excess wear on the throw out bearing or clutch if I drive it like it is until I get the new assembly?

Its not the spring that pulls it back up off the throwing bearing it's that little pedal return spring that a lot of Corvette owners have problems with. I saw that a lot of them just drive without it. The only problem I've found is for cruise to work you have to put your foot under the pedal and make sure it's all the way to the top.
