Gas Mileage Significantly Decreased

I just got my car back from the dealer. Brought it in due to error codes P1516 and P2101, dealership says my ECM shorted out. Almost a thousand freaking dollars later, it runs again. But wait, that's not all, folks! Now, I am literally watching my fuel gauge creep closer and closer to "Empty". I filled up my tank earlier today. I've only driven about 80 miles and I'm already down to almost half a tank. I reset my avg mpg as soon as I left the dealership. It reads 26.2. That cannot be possible. This, on top of everything else that's been going wrong (both related to the car and not related), I'm losing my ability to cope with the stress and such. I'm about to just give up man.
