Coolant Indicates ---, Air Conditior Not Running

2008 Cobalt, today the air conditioner quit working, I later noticed the Coolant = 0000f.

Later in the day, on the way home I noticed the coolant temperature was reading correctly again. I turned on the Air Conditioner and the compressor started running and it cooled fine all the way home. About 50 miles.

There was no engine check light.

Any clues as to what to look at is appreciated.

Thanks,,, Pete

Sorry, I didn't get back soon. I took the car to the body shop the next day and forgot all about it.

It wasn't over heating, but on the way home after the car cooled down the air conditioner worked. So when I got home I topped off the coolant. It was a little low.
When I get it back I hope it's still working..!!
