2008 Chevy Cobalt LS.. Doesnt Seem to Have a Fuel Filter

I looked under the rear side of my car and there doesnt seem to have a filter. Ive looked all over the internet and every cobalt has its filter right there. I want to see if its bad because i have a really rough idle and it almost wants to turn off. When i put it in drive and idle it rocks back and forth. Can anyone help?

If you have a California car the fuel filter is inside the tank and chances are it's not your problem. Most idling issues on these cars is due to dirty MAF sensor or throttle body.
