Bad BCM. Probally

08 4 cyl Manuel 2.2 ltr. Car crapped on me in the middle of a pizza delivery. Error codes said bad mass airflow inj. sen. And bad crankshaft position sensor. Rpm gauge no longer works and car will not crank. Roll start will crank it but it displays reduced engine power and has me in limp mode. Found out I had bought a bad mass airflow inj and swapped it out. Mechanic said crankshaft pos. Den. would need flashed to relearn pramaters. After trying to flash it a few times he said the bcm was not holding. The obdII still throws codes but not for anything major. Also no longer throwing crankshaft position. Sensor but says open circuit. Extensive research and the word of a good mechanic has led me to believe it is the body control module has went bad. I know upon placing a new one (used are coded to the serial#) it has to be "techII" dealer programmed. So my questions are. . . will it still limp to the dealers with a new unprogrammed BCM installed or should I change it in their lot? Rember roll start, or will this fry it? And most importantly. Is the diagnostics correct here. . . plenty thanks and peace love and happiness for the rest of your days. Cobalt bro out.

Check fuses underhood, you lost a B+ and the one in the trunk beside the battery.

checked all fuses and both were still good. after bringing it to the dealershit they tried to program my old one and said it would not hold a program. so $100 in to them and they say ittl cost another 700 to install a new one and program it. i bought one for 300 from autozone and installed it. i just have to have someone with a good obdII scanner to program it and i can do the learn procedure myself over 30 min compared to their 7-10 min with a techII.
