Jerks- Auto Transmission Shifting Gear- RPM Drop

I bought my used 2007 Cobalt Lt (97K miles) 6 months back. Drove it for 7k miles. Recently i noticed the car Jerks when the Automatic Transmission shifts in RPM Tachometer (1st & 2nd gear). Also, the car makes a Thud (Shake) when i shift gear from P to D.

I thought it was a Cylinder Misfire caused due to bad O2 sensor and changed it
now i guess its a Transmission related issue.

I moved to USA a year ago from India for my Masters Degree.,so I have very less idea about cars.

Common problem with these ageing cars, reseat the 2 blue/gray plugs on BCM to see if it helps. Sometimes corrosion builds up in contacts causing your transmission to lose GMLan or communication with all other CPU's.

Every minute spent angry is a happy minute lost for ever and ever!!!

Trans fluid and filter change can 'cure' a lot of issues, especially at the mileage of your car.
