Reduced Engine Power Light

Parked my 2009 Cobalt on a lot for 10 minutes today, started it up and it chugged and the Reduced Power Light came on and wouldnt drive more than a few feet. Let it sit, tried again with same result. Let it sit some more and it started and ran okay and I was able to drive the 10 minutes back to work. Reduced Engine Power light went out but now Service Air Bag light and message and check engine light are on continuously. Are these problems connected - did engine problem cause air bag light or vice versa? Had similar problem with the car last summer, it would refuse to start occasionally, had it jumped numerous times, dealer checked everything during several visits, found no problem and pretty much gave up on it and it had been fine since then. Reduced Engine Power message has never come on before. I'll have to take it to the dealer again and check for codes but I wondering what it could be this time. Any guesses are appreciated. Car has less than 40,000 miles on it and I cant be fearing to drive it and have it in the shop all the time. So frustrating to go through this again

Garage
Maybe you lost a cell in your battery and voltage is below 11 Volts. This will screw up all sensors and often times it will go into reduced power. I'm sure once you get the codes read it will be not much of a deal. Why are you bringing it to a dealer? Local garage will probably take care of it and cost much less.

I took it to two local places last summer when it was having starting problems and they couldnt figure it out. Dealer couldnt either. I dont have much confidence in any mechanic anymore. I dealt with it for 2 months last summer and no one could give me any answer. I have to be at work everyday, dont have time to have it in the shop all the time and no one be able to fix it.

Thats bad that it acts up when you dont expect it. Do you have any time or tools to work on it?

I work 12 hour shifts 6 days a week and I know nothing about cars other than they break down all the time and its a pain getting anyone to fix it. I have no way to get anywhere without a reliable car and no one to help.

Well you are a bit limited then. Its time to ask some of your coworkers for a local shop that does quality work at a reasonable price or Call your nearest GM. Any GM service shop should have all the tools and skills to get your cobalt running again.

I see your last post here was about car was in 2011 on a 2009 Cobalt with a stuck ignition key.
I trust that issue was resolved.
