Clunk/Popping Noise When Starting

Hi!

My car was just with the dealer for 3 days last week while they fixed a fuel leak (they had to order the part.) They replaced the fuel pump module as part of a recall. Even though I'm in Massachusetts and not in the South, they said it would be handled under some special extended coverage for this issue. They checked my entire car over and told me of the issues that they found, which was the front rotors and brakes. I approved it and they completely replaced my front rotors and brake pads.

As I've been driving around this weekend, I noticed a pop and clunk sound when I start it up. It is definitely coming from the rear of the vehicle, and when I'm driving, it sounds like something is loose back there. My question is: Is this noise temporary and only happening due to the new part they installed for the fuel pump? Is the module testing itself and is that possibly the noise I'm hearing? My car absolutely did not make these noises prior to it being repaired at the dealership.

It's an 8 year old car at this point so I'm not looking to sink a ton of $$ into it. If these noises are normal and not indicative of a safety issue, I can certainly live with them, but it's just odd that the noises started after I had the fuel leak repaired. Anyone else have this repair done and did you have any issues afterwards? I will call the dealer asap, but am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue. I'm starting to wonder if I should have just bitten the bullet and bought a '17 Cruze instead of bothering with repairing the Cobalt...

Thank you in advance for your help!
