"Service Air Bag" Indicator

Well, I've been driving around for a year with the "Service Air Bag" indicator on, that I discuss here:

I finally took it to a mechanic with a Tech II - he told me it reported codes B0012 and B0013. Something about high resistance?

Again: The problem started, when I opened up the steering column to replace the turn signal lever. The new turn signal works fine, but now I've got this annoying indicator. How could it not be related? If I inadvertently disconnected something, that would certainly be high resistance...

To disconnect the steering wheel airbag you have to remove the airbag, unless you accidentally snip the airbag wires ( not likely )

I had this same issue and it turns out that there was a wire disconnected on my passenger side seat belt clicker that was tripping the light..may not be your problem but it fixed mine
