Exhaust Manifold for 2.2s

35 +shipping

I have an LSJ header, from an 07. I talked to a parts manager, and a tech rep from my dealer and they both told me that the exhaust manifold on the L61 and LSJ were the sme for that year. Unless the car had secondary air injection.

The GM part number for this is - 12581284

Also If you run the part number on gmpartsdirect in the catalog, you will see that this is the part that is on the SS/NA and SS/SC that have the headers with no o2 sensor bung.

Retails for 145.28
gmpartsdirect sells it for 86.11 + $18 shipping

This is a good deal for some of you.

I also have both heat shields for this the one on top, and the bottom, if you want those add 5 each for shipping.

Also did yout LT have the secondary air injection? That could be the difference between my car and yours, because my 2.2 header looks nothing like that crazy weld job of your 2.2 header.

I just swapped to a LSJ header as well, and side by side the one I swapped with was exactly the same with the exception of the o2 sensor bung. I'm swapping to a a XTC down pipe, that only has one o2 sensor bung on it so i needed the extra bung in my header.

Not all 2.2s have the same header. Some of the 07 models had the same header that was on the 05/06. In the later 07 models they used a header that has the same flow properties as the LSJ, just the header did not have the o3 sensoer bung in it. You will see when I post the pics of it.

what, if any gains would I see on my 2006 l61 motor by doing this?

The header flows a bit better. I don't know exactly what the gains are. I don't think any one has dyno'd with the stock header, and the followed with a LSJ header. I'd imagine that the tone of the exhaust would be a little bit deeper, if your using the stock exhaust. The tone probably would be noticable if you have an aftermarket catback/ and or downpipe. But since the header flow better then the 05/06 L61 header, you will have a more free flowing exhaust, thus creating a bit more top end power.
