New TPMS Tire Sensor

I had a leak in one of my tires so I ended up putting tire sealant in the tire to stop the leak. That seemed to work for months, but just recently, I got an SVC Tire Monitor error on my dashboard. I figured I might have ruined my TPMS and purchased another one. I purchased the VDO Redi-Sensor, which comes pre-programmed. I am afraid to break down the tire as it might start leaking again. I was able to build a pressurized tube to get the sensor to learn to the car. However, I read online that people have been able to sqeeze the TPMS sensor with their fingers to get a reading. I have tried squeezing it in multiple places, but I haven't been able to get any reading that way. I don't want to have the pressurized tube in my car which is why I'm trying to figure out another way. If you have any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Why don't you bring it to a tire shop and get the tire fixed properly and get the monitor changed at the same time?
