Anyone Had This Happen?

So, as some of you know I got my Eibach pro-plus kit installed in november. For those of you who don't know it comes with pro-kit springs, a 29mm front sway bar and a 22mm rear sway bar. On Jan. 2nd I started noticing that I was getting some knocking out of the rear end. So, I take a look under the car to see if anything had come loose and find that the rear sway bar had snapped right across the front bolt on the passenger side (pics below). I have never heard of this happening. Fortunately I went back to the distributor and they are sending me a new one for free. Was just wondering if anyone has ever seen this before.

Current Mods: Eibach Pro-kit springs and anti-roll kit, KYB Excell-G struts and shocks, Moog sway links, Prothane Front Control Arm Bushings (coming soon)

We don't think so. Its hard to tell from the pics, but we think there might have been a very small crack in the the bar when I got it. I am just happy the Eibach is replacing it under warranty at no cost.

I am a little pissed, but it could be worse (like the front sway bar). But more than likely it is just a fluke that it got through QA.

I love it. My car now handles the way I always thought it should, or at least it did till the rear bar snapped. I am just glad it was only the rear bar. The front was a b**** and a half to put in. Also with it being the rear the car is still drivable, which is nice since it is going to take 2 weeks to get the new bar.

thanks, ive always heard its too stiff. just never heard anything from someone who actually has it.
then again i always heard sportlines rode horribly rough. but found that to not be the case.

I would have liked to go with the sportlines, but I am a delivery driver and with as bad as the roads are here I did not want to risk the possible damage from sitting that low.

Only car I've had that happen on was my buddy's POS '94 Sunbird - and it was in the front. It clunked whenever you hit the gas or brakes.
