Suspention Kit?

I want my base model cobalt to handle better but I dont know where to start, what I need to get or how much it should cost. Can anyone help me with that?

Look into upgraded shocks and/or springs.

I would give you my suggestion for what it's worth, but people will come in and disagree, and for some reason you will listen to them instead.

SS/TC Struts and shocks, with Pedders springs. That is the best compromise pf performance and comfort available. The Pedders springs are fairly unique compared to the rest of the spring options for our cars in that they do not employ dead coils.

If you are looking for performance, that is the only way to go.

If you're just looking for lower ride height (be honest with yourself) Go with the Eibach Sportlines or H&R Race springs. Those are the highest quality drop springs available.

If you really want a low look, and the ability to brag about being adjustable go for coilovers. So far the only ones available that have any amount of testing miles on them are the cheap chinese versions, and to be honest they are fail. I loved the coilovers i used to have, but they just don't cut it performance wise.

^^ agreed. springs or coil overs.. front and rear swaybars.. bigger rims and tires, strut bars and shocks and struts.. thats pretty much it.. atleast that im aware! haha

pricewise umm ive seen
springs for as low as 100bucks
front and rear sway bars together for like 200-250
strut bar like 50bucks
rims.. well whatever you want
same for tires
and shocks and struts.. probably out of an SS FE5 is the way to go.. not sure price though.

hope that helps!

Strut bar is worthless. GM spend hundreds of thousands proving it.
