Rim Questions...

Well I just got my tires balanced and I have a bent rim.... not too bad be enough to not be able to balance it. So now I guess is a good excuse to buy new rims.

What are the stock rims offset? I want to keep them 15" and I see sizes such as a5x6.5 15x7 15x8.... And I want to lower my car this spring so I don't want any wheels that stick out and will end up rubbing...

thanks.

sorry to question you but why would you stick with 15's?

Honestly, I thought of keeping mine at 15'', glad I didn't. But I guess if you don't wanna blow a bunch of money on tires as well as wheels, keep it small... I think the stock offset is +42 on your car.

2006 LS coupe, tint, 18'' DR9 wheels, Eibach Sportlines, 12'' rockford sub w/600w rockford comp amp, alarm and so much more to come.

Thanks zackmessing.

All others, I don't like big rims.... never had. I'm old school. If I could find a set of American Racing Wagon Wheels for a front wheel drive I would put them on my cobalt in a heart beat.

So the stock steel rim width is 6? as in 15x6?

i was gonna go with 16s for mine but then a deal too good to pass up came on the 18s i have. i think that the 15s are alittle small for the car,16 and 17s are perfect,18 to 20s are alittle big,and to me anything beyond that starts to look kind of rediculous. but thats in my opinion.

yea,i would have gotten either 16s or 17s but i had a friend offer me a set of 18s for $80 and they actually look pretty good, there are some scuffs along the wall but u cant noce it from a distance and it wont even be there when i get them painted. but they will look pretty cool when i get them on.but i know the only problem i will have when i get them on is the height of the car, because it will be a long while b4 i can get lowering springs, but regardless they will look much better than the stock hub caps that are on there
