HELP!!!! Need Sum Advice

hey i noticed today that my hubcaps (snap ons/ not screw ons) had a bit of spacing between it and the rim. the space was about this much: ----
give or so a bit more jus wanna know if its normal or not. i was thinking that the retention wire needs to be either tighten or looser not sure??? should i get a rubber mallet and pop it in some more idk???any help would be great everyone bye.

the space between the steel rim and the hubcap is about 1/4 of an inch of gap.

its normal to have a gap between the hub cap and the wheel. Thats just because the hub cap is cheap. I would just take them off and paint the wheels themselves if you really are worried about it.

so its normal to have a bit of gap man. for a second there i thought i had to get a hammer and force them in and potentially breakn them. but if its normal hey no worries here thanks for the reply man peace.
