Here we go. Pics!!!!

Hello all,

well, after my last final exam last Tuesday, I rushed up north to my dad's place for a few days of FUN!!! well, here is my first mods of the summer;

MMMM SPRINGS!!!

WHAT'S IN THE BOX? WHAT'S IN THE BOX!!!! I won't keep it from you like them OTHER members :D

fe5-s BABY!!! BTW for all canadian buyers, shipping is &86 and duties is about $60. Good thing I work my ass off at a good job or i'd be BROKE!!!

Comparing STOCK to B&G springs (you can thank me later :P)

Back:

Front:

here's some BEFORE DROPPING pics of the cobalt;

and in case anyone was wondering (I know you all are) the Cobalt wheel gap both in front AND in back was measured (by me and my dad, the pros lol) to be approx. 3.25''. here's my proof;

Some install pics;

My beautiful front shock assembled;

and installed;

couldn't snap any pics of the back when it was done, it was just TOO LOW! lol

and NOW, for the final product.....I had originally washed, waxed the car and rims last week and taken pics but they did not turn out as nice, so this morning I took more pics in the sun, so here you go;

Suspension has had about 500km's to settle so I don't believe they're fully settled yet (someone said 1000 miles to completely settle?)

Other project: Door actuators;

My mom's badass truck which I took the liberty of washing after I did mine lol;

And (couldn't resist) My semi-new puppy (about 4 months, had her for 2) getting stuck in the deck gate (what a good dog she is though!)

And another good side view of the car lowered, this one washed and waxed, pic came out pretty decent

^ I'm with drift on that, B&Gs kind of make the rear look saggy IMO. Car looks great tho.

yeah i noticed that in the pictures, the front looks really high. But after taking a good look at the car from all angles it really doesn't sag at all. Obviously the pics don't do the springs justice, and the front will drop more, but even as it sits now, the car is equally dropped, and the front gap really isn't bad at all.

Also, I am taking a big risk dropping it like this, because our winters are real extreme and we do get alot of snow. I will hopefully be getting an SS front bumper and using it only in the summer, and ls bumper for the winter, so that if I do scratch it up I don't mind too much.

But I do have to say, the handling increase is great. Some say the ride is harsher, you feel more bumps, and yes, shaking of various things over bumps does increase in the car lol. But I really like the ride, when you go over bomps and around turns, it feels stiff, and I like it. Anyways in most sporty cars that have good suspension, you'll feel the bumps more. On flat roads it rides beautifully, and yes Quebec is some of the harshest roads in the world unfortunately.

Anyways overall i'm happy with the drop, and all I can say is "on to the next mod".
