Thumbs up Popping Sound

Sometimes as I'm slowing down and near 20 mph, I can hear a popping or clicking sound coming from the rear of the car. I think it's when I have the brakes on. Someone else complained about this same noise a while back, but I never found out if anyone had the answer. I took the wheels off and looked, but found nothing. My Bate is a 2010 2LT with 10,000 miles.
Thanks for your help.
Tom

Took you advice. I had an appointment at my dealer Monday morning.
The tech found the noise coming from the left rear drum. He removed the drum and inspected the system and found the backing plate hitting the shoes.
He removed and adjusted the shoes and lubed the pivots.
The noise was gone with I drove the Cobalt back home.

Thanks folks, Tom

I have had the same thing happen to me every now and then, I also have a 2010 2LT and the research I did said it's probably the rear control arm rubber bushings poping in and out of place. The front bushings are a known issue on our cars, I'll take mine in for service just before my warranty is up, because if you get them fixed now by the time your warranty runs out they may need replacing again and you'd pay out of pocket, I'd only get them fixed asap if its doing it constantly...
