Rim Powder-coating/painting

Im wanting to have my rims done to match my car, but I'm not to savvy when it comes to rims. Is powder-coating my only option? Or is there a special rim paint out there? Cost-wise, what are we looking at? How well does it hold up? Any stipulations I should be aware of?

Powder coating is more expensive, but also more durable. Do have to have a good tire ship install the tires, a bad shop may chip/scratch the rims lip. I have the rims on my motorcycle powdercoated.

there is no paint i know of that is specificly for rims. But there paint that is better then others. Powder coating is definatly the way to go, but more expensive by far. itll be professionally done, more durable, and even. Paint the rims is much much much cheaper though, just stay away from the curbs when u park. If anything hits the rim(rocks/etc.) your going to have a chip mark on the paint.
