Was at my buddies house today welding on homemade equipment for his horse track, and he walked up to me with a 3/4" piece of solid stock round rod with a chrome finish and said he had a whole bunch of it and i could have one and the plate to make a strut bar with.
Im going to make the plates to bolt onto my struts and weld the bar to the plates...
it will be better then buying one, stronger also because its solid steel, now it does weigh about 8 pounds but that seriously does not make any difference.. I have 20 pounds of books in my car.. if I wanna "race" ill take one out ..LOL!
Ill make a thread on how to make a strut bar! but I will not tell how to weld .. if you cant weld then just buy one...
Ordering my wheels this week or next week also!
