Cobalt Ss Struts in Non Ss?

Can it be done? If so do you need to modify anything?

My car is fe1 right now with a fe5 front sway bar.

As I have a 2005 will I have to get the 2005-2007 SS struts?
And will I see any advantage over fe1 struts?

I have the SS/TC struts on mine now for the past 15K miles. With FE1 springs.
No issues at all. Rides great and direct bolt on.
