What's the Differense in R&P's?

I need a new R&P, but i noticed 'soft ride', 'with FE3', and 'performance'. What's the difference and which one does my LT have? Are these R&P's interchangeable?

...huh? LS, LT and LTZs are equipped with the FE1 suspension (soft) 2.4 SSs with the FE3 (intermediate) and the SS SC/TCs with the FE5 (firm)

I think that's what you're asking.

But you should know that the FE5 on the SS/SC was different than the FE5 suspension on the SS/TC, the SS/TC had a more refined suspension with better handling.

They are fully interchangable, I have a better suspension than any balt came with stock at the moment on my base (well after I switch out my control arms with the ones FE5 ones and Powell CABs).

Pretty sure All years of all model Cobalts use the same rack and pinion. The difference in numbers only means that some come with outer tie-rods like this one.
