Tire Size

Hello,just a quick question. have a 2008 cobalt sport with 205/50r17, have a chance to score (free & new) 4qty winter tires 235/55r17. Should i put these on ?? any input would be great Tks

Doubt if they will fit plus you'll be almost 9% off on speedo, you will get no traction on ice or snow because of the width of the tire on pavement. You would go from a 25.07" tall tire to a 27.17" . For winter you should go narrower if anything like a 195.

This increase in tire width + aspect ratio wouldn't be recommended, no matter the cost savings.
