Question About Aftermarket Steel Wheels

Still using my stock 15" steel wheels. I just found out today one is bent and needs to be replaced, but I am told that the aftermarket steel wheels won't work with my stock hubcaps. Does anyone know if this is true?

Steelies and hubcaps aren't exactly classy, but I don't want to roll around looking ghetto without a hubcap either.

Since I know someone will ask: I just bought tires, and just replaced one hubcap so I am not looking to buy proper wheels right now and I can't bring myself to spend $300 or more for 15" wheels. I'd rather shell out $50 for steel and be done with it.

If in not misteaken the hubcap is attached to the lugnuts not to the wheel itself.

I dont see why that wouldent work with aftemarket steel wheel.

He's right. I bought a new aftermarket set of steelies for my then new winter tires, and noticed that the caps would no longer fit due to the wheel protruding outwards and not allowing the plastic nuts to make contact. It didn't bother me as I dislike the hub caps anyways, so they're sitting sitting in my garage collecting dust. It cost me $200 for all four wheels.

4 or 5 holes? I got mine from Costco online and they are a direct replacement. $42 plus tax.

You are correct, but I was told that most of these aftermarket wheels have a "lip" that protrudes out further than stock which does not allow the hubcaps to be attached to the lugs. That was my concern.
