Brake Pad Fit Possibly Too Small

Just purchased the wagner thermo quiet pads and new rotors had it installed at a local brake shop. I noticed today the extra peice of metal at the end that goes into the caliper groove is barley being held in by the shim. It fits properly on the bottom but not the top. Brakes work great but I'm worried if the pad slips completely out of the top could my brakes go out. It's hard to explain as I've never replaced brakes. Just want to know if it's normal or not. I'll upload pics later.

These should be snug but not tight. But the pad has nowhere to go. If it isn't clunking from being loose I wouldn't worry about it.

That first photo looks problematic. The second photo looks like only half the rotor is getting contact with the pad. Do you have 5 lug hubs?Did you get pads for calipers for the 4 lug hub? I'm not sure if they'd even fit. Just thinking out loud.

Yah, the clip came away from it's proper position. It should seat exactly like second picture. Personally I don't think those are the right pads.
