Weld on Rear Axle Bracket

does anyone make a weld-on axle bracket to swap from drum to disc brakes?

I have a photo of the drum axle here. I pasted in the hub flange from an axle with disc brake option. It seems like a weld-on bracket would be pretty easy to make. I'm sure they'd sell pretty well too!

Powell makes a bolt on bracket, sits behind the wheel hub.

I wish I had access to a disc brake rear axle. I'd trace the caliper mount, compare it to my axle and have a bracket made. There are several companies online that offer CNC cutting services. I can't imagine it would cost all that much. I did hear back from J Powell. For the cost if his brackets, I could buy a complete rear axle. I don't think I'm going to go that route.

I heard that there really isn't that much of a benefit in swapping for discs, it causes more problems if anything. The rear wheels do very little braking, and drums do last a lot longer than discs and pads, plus they're very cheap to replace.

Why not just upgrade to stainless steel braided lines instead?

your rear brakes are only used when you put your e-break up...
no point in swapping to disks.,

I'll most likely just stuck with drum. I just hate the way they look through the wheels.

Lots of people paint their drums. Doesn't look bad but isn't really my thing.

Just paint the drums black so they aren't as visible.
