New for the BC...FE5 Rear Suspension

Well I now have a new project for the BC.

And a stiff bar under

Now to decide on 2 new 4-lug Non-ABS hubs for disk brakes and what proportioning valve ?
Or stick with my working drums
Remembering its a basic x-port not a F1

Or 4 new 5-lug hubs and new wheels & tires??
Now how much should I spend on a simple mod

Ya know, if I put this in, I am going to have to replace the front coils

And I have'nt checked those shocks ....if they are any good, LC can use them on her Silver 08 LT
I expect them to be the original never changed...,well broken in. Ha!
Dad has new ones on the BC
Parthros likes this.

Not sure I understand what you're doing here!

I know you've mentioned it before but BC stands for???

Actually, the trailing arm assembly is the sway bar. If you want to stiffen the rear anti-sway all you have to do is weld in filler plates in the 26 holes until you get the stiffness you desire. The more holes you fill the stiffer it will get.

I also suggest if you're going for a sportier ride to swap the rear springs for FE5. From the dealer they are actually about half price of the FE1 for some stupid reason that I never understood. (Maybe supply and demand) Put those on my 2010 Cobalt.

Blue Cobalt
Or By C....
Take your pick

Those are Fe5 springs from a 2007 and that torsion beam has the 24mm bar welded between the lower control arms
