AutoX is Amazing

Been a while YC! I been busy with training and whatnot but I ain't for got about this place. Anyway I found some free time I went to down to Atlanta on Sunday to partake in the SCCA Atlanta Region solo round 9. I was running in D Stock and I had a blast. I seriously think I found a new addiction lol.

I did really well (2nd in class ), but I know I can do better. Is there anybody else that autox their cobalt?

i take mine on the track. its lots of fun and i dont even have anything special. wish more people would take their cars on a road course than the drag strip. much better suited car for track vs. strip. check out what they are doing with these cars over in europe

Cool, might be an idea for a weekend trip once I get the suspension completed, next big job after I get my truck done though. So maybe inthe spring, not that far from Atlanta, Talledaga, or the other track in Alabama.

I have been reading quite a bit about autoX lately. I'm going to give it a try when things get on the go here later this spring. I'm researching what tires to buy. I have a set of 17" rims that I haven't put tires on yet and that is what I'm wrestling with at the moment. I was also thinking of a decent set of suitable rubber for the stock steel wheels.

I'm in Newfoundland, and I know there are autoX races here in the St. John's area, where driver compete for points and things like that... I've never participated but it looks fun! I'd say if it's in Newfoundland, it's probably in other provinces as well.
