with driver error you could, and no a fully bolted 2.2 isn't hitting 200whp. Are you tuned? if not that then that is gonna hurt you more

One of the local guys around here has a ss/sc, its quite a bit faster than my 2.2, you may be able to stick with it around turns but not the stretch...

i think it would be close. that dude with the 181 with the full bolt ons had an 06 and those have in the 120 range of hp and you have a 10 so your at 155 with the tune it would stand a chance

YouTube - Cobalt Ls vs Cobalt SS/SC pt1

that guys biggest part was the pulley

this is extreme ricer math if ive ever seen it..

the only and i mean ONLY way ull ever beat an lsj is if

-it breaks an axle
-driver misses @ least 2 gears...
-u run em on an 8th mile

ive beaten 2 or 3 lsjs on the 8th mile but i had a full bolt and tune NA 2.4 at the time

i believe that video just demolished your fact lol they race twice and the biggest thing that silver 2.2 has is the pulley apart from that its trifecta tune and the rest are blt on exhaust. and a 2.4 is barely faster then a 2.2. with an intake manifold and a cold air intake a 2.2 will beat the 2.4

The LSJ's rated HP is rather deceptive. Most of the time, GM quotes crank power, but the LSJ's have been known to get around 205 WHP stock. Its a similiar situation to what Dodge did with the SRT4's rating (Mainly for insurance reasons).

A bolted N/A L61/LAP won't run a stock SS/SC in a 1/4 unless it was a full out N/A build with cams and all. Even then, a large number of SS/SC's have the Stage 2 kit on it, which makes the discrepancy even larger.
