2005 Cobalt Stuck in Park

It could be a fuse or the brake light switch, the easiest way to test these are to see if your brake lights are illuminating when the brake is pushed. If they do not illuminate then it's either one of those, the fuses will be the easiest to check first. If the brake lights work fine then it might be the shift interlock solenoid, these can act up if a drink is spilled and it manages to leak down onto the solenoid which is located under the console right next to the shifter. If you clean the solenoid and it still acts up you may need to replace the solenoid. These are the easiest things to check first, hope this helps

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the shift lock solenoid?
