Hard Shift with U Cose

2005 cobalt hard shifts with generic tranny code of P0700 it also has a U2100 code when the brakes are on I can hear and feel a clicking from the shifter area. I have grounded the TCM replaced the TCM with correct programmed VIN number. I also have the temp mileage display changes to POWER STEERING. I also changed the filter and tranny fluid. This is driving me nuts the car only has 73,000 miles on it.

Try re-seating the connectors on the BCM several times. If this solves your problem add dielectric grease. The GMLan signal gets cleaned up and amplified on the BCM and sometimes corrosion on the pins will degrade the signal enough to give you a communication code. Also sometimes the harness rubs around the thermostat housing but rarer.

Tried the connectors no luck do you have a wiring diagram of the GMLan can bus system I have 120 ohms at the data link connector pins, I want to test each connection and wires through the whole system. what about the power steering message on the display it steers just fine. I checked the wiring harness at the oil filter and thermostat and they look good.

Try replacing the ECM/TCM fuse on BCM fuse block, sometimes it corrodes or pits.

Replaced the fuse seems to be ok also left the fuse out for a while and unplugged the connectors again a few more times so far ok on the shifting.
