'06 LS Manual Trans Oil Change Questions

I want to do an oil change on my trans but I have a couple questions before I do so.
1. I looked up the fluid for it and it says use Dexron IIIh. Is that correct or does it take another type of fluid?
2. Would it be wise to use Royal Purple Syncromax with the oil change or just stick to the oil?
3. Is there any type of filter I can also change?

Any help would be amazing. Thank you.

I just made a thread about this maybe 3 days ago. Just get regular dexron 3, syncromesh is known to eat away at the syncro's on manual trans from 04+
