Hard Shifting Tranny

Hello. I have a question. Can anyone tell me why my transmission shifts hard randomly? I have an '08 L.T. Twice in the past week when I start it and drive off, it shifts quite hard. If I give it enough gas, I get a good chirp from the tires. I actually love that, however, don't think its normal. Now when I shut the car off and turn it back on, it shifts normal. What is going on? Is there a setting I can have it on to act as if there is a shift kit in it?

You are losing GMLan for some reason, the most probable cause is the ECM/TCM fuse on the "BCM" block has corrosion on the tabs. Replace it to see if problem goes away. Do you have ABS or traction control?

Yes I have ABS but I don't think I have traction control. My Grand Am had it and it was annoying.
