Alright so my car has about 122k on the clock and I don't think the transmission fluid has been changed ever. Car shifts and acts perfectly fine but I want to change the fluid. Should I just change the fluid or get the tranny flushed?
Take it to a shop to do and have them drop the pan, change the filter. The gasket on the pan in meant to be reused, it's way better that rtv and crappy cork gasket. It also takes about 7 liters of fluid, if you want throw a Lucas transmission additive in the pan to. If you wanna get really fancy use Amsoil synthetic transmission fluid to. That would probably double the price though. Go change your fuel filter to!
