Gear Shift Binding/rough Moving

2010 Cobalt Sport daughters daily driver

Just had tires rotated and a slow leak fixed.

Daughter got home and commented on how hard it was to put the shifter into gear.

PRN seem fine, as soon as you attempt to put into drive gears it feels like something is binding.

Question: Will improper or improperly placed lift components do something that could damage something under the body causing this. Don't want to lay blame if I'm wrong but too coincidental.

It seems to drive fine, just hard to put into gear at the shifter level.

Thanks for the thoughts.
