History
Bought as a fuel saving puddle jumper. Other than the same crummy front end components which has been everyone's nemesis, I refer to it as a "Wednesday" made car. Doesn't owe me a dime. 180,000+ great miles. I love to hear the kids whine about no power windows!

Modifications

Drivetrain
Stock 2.2L unmodified. Auto transmission, A/C
Interior
Stock light grey.
Exterior
Painted the front lower bumper fake air vents black. Doesn't look so "Granny"
Audio
Standard basic 1cd system. The door speakers went out and were replaced by a $20.00 set from Wal-Mart and blew us away.
Suspension
Worst of any car I have ever owned. The rear never had any issues except new shocks at 130,000 miles.
The front end is another story. The components for alignment lasted the longest. Stabilizer bushings, strut bushings, and a whole new strut assembly pair don't last very long. Same old clunking over even small bumps. I'm convinced its planned obsolescence to keep the mechanics money flowing in. Never been in an accident.
Wheel and Tire
Stock 5 bar noisy plastic covers. Pulled off all four covers and applied very small strips of glue backed felt along the contact area to the wheel and its lasted for years with no rattle at all. And, you cant see the felt.
