I have a '07 Cobalt ls with a GMPP air intake and
when I turn the vehicle off the air intake makes a
burping sound as if air was releasing. Why is it doing this?
I have looked it up a bit and people say its normal because
the aftermarket intake draws more air. But people also said
it could be the pvc valve now letting air through it.
Have you guys ever had this issue?

Thanks

I have had this since I bought the car. I think it sounds pretty cool!

But yeah, its just the excess air being cut off from the engine and coming back out.

Injen had that issue about 10 years ago when all they made were just intakes. My old EP3 Hatch Si had that almost like a BOV sound when I cut off my engine. Its just normal, like a SOHC Honda makes that vaccuum sound when engine is idle, thats just how its set :)
